My Self-Portrait

Above is my self-portrait done with water colors. I always have done my self-portrait in water and I haven't given it much though besides that I love water and everything to do with it. But also, my rising sun sign is Scorpio which is a water sign, and your rising is the characteristics which you wear on your sleeve. My birth sign is Virgo. More about my self-portrait I am a night person and dont sleep well so I feel at home when it's at night. I'm not a religious person, I feel as if I know too much about religion to beleive in it,growing up in a religious home and going to a private Christan school in all, but I'm a very spiritual and deep person which i tend to keep to myself. Only my true friends will know this. I deffinatly look at  the world in a different way than most people and this use to be hard for me growing up and never feeling like I belonged anywhere, but that's probably me just being a artist.

Code of Ethics

  • To live a honest life

  • Always be true to yourself

  • Trust- trust is the building block of a happy and healthy life

  • Sound mind = Sound body = Sound soul

  • Treat others the way you want to be treated

  • Welcome individuality with open arms and a nonjudgmental embrace. The world would be so boring if we were all the same!

To Whom It May Concern:

It is my privilege to write a letter of recommendation for Maya Charlesworth. I met Maya this year as a

student in my Thesis paper class. She is bright, articulate and incredibly creative. Although I have only

worked with Maya for the last school year, the nature of our program allows us to know our students on

many levels and through many complex experiences. As advisors, we support students throughout a balanced and personalized educational plan including, but not limited to psycho-social, community and post-educational opportunities. From this perspective, it has been impressive to watch Maya meet her senior year with independence and resourcefulness.

Maya has a strong relationship with her family and will begin her post-secondary education while living at home. Maya’s greatest gift is her artistic talent. Although many students want to be artists, and many high schools observe budding creative gifts, Maya is truly one of the most innately gifted visual artists I have met at her age. She lives and breathes art; she sees the world as an artist, she enthusiastically embraces multiple mediums and she walks through the lense of vision and possibility. She is a strong and courageous woman with an eye for the edginess of life. Please accept this letter of recommendation- I predict that Maya will truly make a name for herself in the world of art and design, and encourage you to call if you have any further questions. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Respectfully,
